Data & Methodology
Nordic Bridge Pakistan compiles trade and market intelligence from Nordic national statistical agencies, international databases, government institutions and verified corporate disclosures. Key statistics include their source and reference period, and every source name on this platform is a link to the original data.
Last updated: August 2026
Bilateral trade
Goods (merchandise) trade only, calendar year, current US dollars, taken from UN Comtrade annual data with the Nordic country as reporter and Pakistan as partner, HS commodity code TOTAL. Imports are valued CIF and exports FOB per Comtrade convention. Pakistan's fiscal-year series (July–June) published by PBS and SBP are never blended into these calendar-year figures. Totals shown as a sum of the two trade directions are labelled Derived.

GDP
Nominal GDP in current US dollars, World Bank indicator NY.GDP.MKTP.CD, calendar year. Where the World Bank has not yet published a year, no figure is shown rather than substituting an IMF projection.
Companies operating in Pakistan
A company is listed as active only where its Pakistan activity is described by the company itself or by a government institution. Each profile states a presence type (Direct, JV, Project, Franchise, Distributor or Sourcing), a last-verified date and an evidence link. Where only the corporate homepage is available and no Pakistan-specific page has been confirmed, the record is marked Partially verified. Where no source has been confirmed, it is marked Requires verification and no financial figure is published for it.
Importers and buyers
Directory entries reference the buyer's own corporate or sourcing pages. Product interests reflect what the buyer publishes about its assortment and supplier requirements; they are not offers to purchase and are not sourced from third-party lead lists.
Expos and trade fairs
Every event must carry an organiser or official event URL. Name, dates, city and venue are checked against that source, and each record stores the date it was last checked. Events whose dates cannot be confirmed against an official source are not published.
Market intelligence
Pages separate Data from Analysis. Data blocks carry a value, a reference year, a definition and a clickable source. Analysis blocks are Nordic Bridge Pakistan's interpretation of market conditions for exporters and are explicitly labelled as such. Regulatory and standards references link to the responsible authority or scheme owner.
Verification statuses
- Verified
- Tied to a primary source with an exact URL, reference period and definition.
- Partially verified
- The claim is supported, but only by a general source such as a corporate homepage.
- Requires verification
- No authoritative source confirmed. Held internally; no figure is published.
- Outdated
- The source exists but a newer reference period is available.
- Conflicting sources
- Two authoritative sources disagree; the record is withheld until reconciled.
Corrections
If a figure, company record or event on this platform is wrong or out of date, we want the correction and the source that supports it. Records are re-checked when a new reference period is published by the originating agency.
